19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player won his first title for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult period, winning just one match at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought competitive victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks his maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.
The win also indicates the Russian has achieved 21 victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a championship is really nice," said world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had led observers to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
He came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky opponent, winning four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first tour title, seized the initiative to create a decider.
The opponent saved four early opportunities in a tight third set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he secured the win with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to control a return after a lengthy match.
